Isle Of Wight trip 2022 - Gallery and Updates
Update from the Year 6 team and some great pictures below!
Day 1
We've been in the D-Day Museum. The children have been genuinely interested and have been reading the panels and using the interactive features. They were drawing planes and soldiers. They enjoyed lunch outside.
We've now arrived safely at the hotel, the staff have been very welcoming. The children are currently playing outside, some children are feeling energetic some not so much!. Dinner will be at 6pm followed by going to the beach for some games.
We are extremely pleased with the children they have been exemplary.
Day 2
We're having a fantastic time today at forest school. We've built dens, made fire and are now learning about trees.
The children were all asleep by 10.30pm last night and most had to be woken at 7am, so the teachers were happy!
Day 3
We had to abandon the Crazy Golf last night because it was raining so heavily. Instead we came back to the hotel and watched a film. Tonight we'll finish the film and go to the beach again. The children are starting to take longer to get up today, everyone is very tired!
Today we are taking a boat ride around the Needles and then going to climb the 100's of steps to the gift and sand shop. This afternoon we are attending workshops at Carisbrook Castle.
**UPDATE
The boat ride was cancelled as a squall was coming in!
More compliments at Carisbrooke Castle - the ex-headteachers who ran our workshops said how lovely our children are! On way home now, will go to the beach and finish our film tonight.
Day 4
We had a good night's sleep and had to wake many rooms at 7.15. We're now on our way to the Aqua park so the children are very excited. We have done numerous checks - have they got their towel, swimming costume etc. so hopefully there'll be no nasty surprises!
After Lunch at the Farm where the Aqua Park is we're going Fossil hunting.
The Children have enjoyed the food at the Hotel - especially the cooked breakfasts!
Update received this afternoon:
We've just finished on the inflatables on the lake. Absolutely brilliant!! They loved it and even nervous children coped and stayed on the whole time, Mr Wheatley was a dare devil on the big slide!
