Book Day 2021 Match the Bookshelf to the Teacher Competition
We are celebrating World Book Day on Wednesday 31st March 2021 and are excited about dressing up as our favourite book characters as well as sharing books and our love of reading. This year's competition tests how well you know your teachers and the sorts of books they love. Below you will find 12 photographs of teachers' bookshelves; your task is to decide which teacher owns each bookshelf. There are plenty of clues: sometimes just in the sort of book shown, sometimes in the individual titles of books and sometimes in extra clues on the shelf. Each bookshelf has a number to match to a teacher's name. The teachers who have provided a glimpse into their reading habits are: Mrs Quantick, Miss Wood, Mr Wheatley, Miss Butterfield, Mrs Brown, Mrs Austen, Mrs Wibroe, Mrs Martin, Mrs Sandberg, Mrs Jeffery, Miss Phillips and Mrs Bowers. The first photo is a picture of the display in the library where the photos are clearly numbered; the order of photos after this is: 12, 10, 3, 1, 11, 8, 6,4 ,2, 7, 9 and 5. Years 3 - 6 can look in the library to see the photos and their numbers more clearly and we will give KS1 their own copies of the numbered photos. Your teachers will tell you how to enter the competition. Good luck!
