Samuel wanted to find out about the Statue of Liberty this week and this gave us an opportunity to cross over a little with the Whole School Experience. Samuel talked to the rest of the children about why the Statue has turned green and brought in some copper to show them. We listened to a story about how the statue came to be and we also found out lots of facts about the statue - her shoe size, the number of points on her crown and how many steps it takes to climb to the top. 

Samuel and many others were inspired to make models of the statue this week.
